WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A MENTOR?

You may not feel qualified to mentor. You don’t need to have a lot of Bible knowledge. You have your testimony, and that’s enough. You would be surprised how valuable your life experience is. God can use you more than you know.

The most important ingredients,

01 AVAILABILITY

The most important ingredient is AVAILABILITY. Most people just need someone to listen. People don’t need to be preached to, they need someone to care – someone who will meet them where they are. Not where they ought to be. Like Jesus did.

02 AUTHENTICITY

Don’t try to be something you’re not. People can spot a poser a mile away. Authenticity is everything.

03 FLEXIBILITY

Allow God to fashion a relationship around not just your strengths and experience, but around your mentee's needs.
